MALLORCA, SPAIN ...
wanted to check in on you lovelies ...

i lied ...

wishing i was back in the beautiful country of Spain, but my feet have landed back in the QC ...
such an amazing, inspiring, blessed, beautiful, self actualizing, left-wanting-more kind of trip ... vacation it was not, I might have tallied a maximum of 15 hours of sleep during this 9 day stint ...
but an experience it was.
traveling between the three cities of Barcelona, Valencia, and Mallorca, we managed to make use of every source of transporation - planes, trains, and automobiles ... and bicycles.

with an extra seven L.B's, 1800 images, three new bags (plus or minus a few extra goodies) and life changing memories ... my tired feet have made it home ...

mega, open arm thank you to my super fabulous interns, Sabrina and Brooke, for holding down the studio fortress and saying hello to my readers while I was away ... A loving admiration to my bestest, LRT, for her inspirational post and NOT blackmailing me with said photos ;) ... and last but not in the leastest - Traci for your sweet words and congratulations - Johnny is a lucky man for sure :p.
You guys are the bestest.

This upcoming week will be a little hectic getting back in the swing of things, but hoping to make an appearance here again soon ... including, but not limited to tales of life, inspirations, and all around flashes of life's unexpected beauty.

Wow! I am beyond thrilled to be over here guest-blogging for Sarah ... while she enjoys a well-deserved vacation! I was a teensy bit stuck for a topic -- something tells me Sarah's readers may not be quite so excited about my twin tips (ha!) -- but then it hit me. Or should I say, landed in my mailbox. For some reason, this chick received the May/June 2012 issue of Bridal Guide. Ummm, exactly what website did I surf to get on that mailing list? Whatever. Let's just say I am no longer a newlywed.

I know I'm not the only one who was so excited to hear Sarah's big news -- and I have no doubt she is going to be one of the hippest, most beautiful brides the Queen City has ever seen. I'd try to imagine the wedding, but -- knowing Sarah -- it will be way cooler than I can even dream. The setting will be spectacular ...

her dress will be something you'd see on a New York runway ...

and the bridal party beyond stylish.

Does it get better than this?

It's probably a good thing that I got married in the days before Pinterest - because there is no telling how crazed I might have been. Instead I will preoccupy myself with birthday parties and Easter egg hunts ... and watch Sarah enjoy this special time. I'm so happy for her. Congratulations to Sarah and Johnny!

Ahem. I have Miss Manners ringing in my ears. Congratulations to Johnny (for getting Sarah to accept his proposal) and best wishes to Sarah (as a demonstration of my support)!

Hi Friends. I’m LINDSEY REGAN THORNE and proud to say that I’m one of SC’s besties, and have been for going on 12 years now. For those who don’t know me, you can find my blog HERE. I am a business owner, a blogger, a wife, a friend and a girl who once shared the same passion that SC does as an interior designer. Over the years, I’ve found myself thriving off of making others beautiful. Best feeling. So today friends, I BEAUTIFY... leaving the wonderful world of design aside. You can find me doing makeup, hair and wardrobe styling and staying in tune with reality tv... my guilty pleasure.

As most of you know SC is soaking up the European streets, {hate’n!} while I’m stuck here in Queen City. I’m fulfilling my best friendarooski duties and providing y’all with a bit of guest blogging. What to blog about....??? She’s quite the Private-Patty on her blog, unlike me. So at first when she presented me with the opportunity I thought it would be the appropriate time to showcase the inner diva and her witty “off the clock” personality. ...friends! A blog post on girlfriends. Something that her and I could not live without. As I sifted through our pictures together I decided that the amount of food baby, vodka + soda drinking, self portraits, eye half closed pictures were probably not the most flattering... from that moment I decided to take my blog post in a different direction.

So peeps here you have it... a post on how to take a room that inspires you and transform it into a fabulous outfit. SC finds inspiration from all over, but one designer she looks up to is the fabulously talented, ‘oh so’ creative, can’t get enough gold, scream from the rooftop because of her stunner of hotels, Miss KELLY WEARSTLER.
